Families are expected to notify the school when a student is kept home because of illness. Students may not attend an after-school or evening activity when they have been absent from school during that day. Homework assignments for an absentee can be requested by leaving a message for the teacher. A note listing the dates and reasons for any absence is required when a child returns to school. A doctor’s note is necessary for an absence of more than five days.A student who has been absent by reason of having or being suspected of having a communicable disease must present to the School Nurse written evidence of being free of communicable disease, in accordance with Policy No. 8451.Please don't hesitate to call the Health Office if you have any questions or concerns, or need to share any changes or updates in your childs health files.Phone - 732-542-5438 or 732-542-2500 ext. 2502Fax - 732-542-4905e-mail email@example.comTips for Preventing the Spread of Flu1.
